that's a good working budget for a 3 car plus storage/work area. for that, i'd suggest to go 22-24' in width x 40' in length. you can gain a lot of functional space with this dimension. a 2 stoy would push your budget. wood's not cheap anymore and the structure required to hold a 2nd floor can get quite costly. good luck and check the builder's ref's before choosing.
